Madriz Power & Performance
I’m David Madriz — the founder of Madriz Power & Performance, an active MMA fighter under Team Colon, and someone who’s been dedicated to sports, strength, and movement my entire life.
My athletic journey started early. I wrestled from middle school through college and played football in both high school and at the collegiate level. As a nose tackle for the Crimson Wave, I was proud to help lead our team to two back-to-back MSFL championships — earning a reputation for being strong, relentless, and tough on the field.
Since 2016, I’ve competed in MMA, and that same mindset carries into the way I train others: with grit, precision, and purpose.
I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology (Cum Laude) from Calumet College of St. Joseph and am currently pursuing my Master of Science in Exercise & Sports Science, as well as my CSCS certification through the NSCA.
Through all my experiences, one thing became clear — there are too many gaps in the fitness industry. Most programs focus only on how you look, not how you move or perform. I never understood why everyone followed bodybuilding splits when they wanted to feel better, move better, and be stronger.
That’s why I built Madriz Power & Performance: to offer a smarter, more athletic approach to training. A system rooted in real movement, real strength, and real results.
My mission is simple — to help people become the best version of themselves. Whether you’re a fighter, athlete, or everyday person chasing better, I’m here to coach you toward goals you didn’t think were possible.
“I have a deep passion for this. I live for helping others reach their full potential — in and out of the gym.”
